Minnesota Duluth is on the road to play No. 3 St. Cloud State at 8:07 p.m tonight at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. Game 2 is at 7:07 p.m. here tomorrow night.
Tonight’s game is being broadcast nationally on select cable and satellite packages on CBS Sports Network (hence the late start). You can also follow me on Twitter at twitter.com/mattwellens for updates.
The Bulldogs’ line chart for tonight can be seen here. Austyn Young is out all weekend after suffering an upper body injury last Friday at North Dakota. His fellow senior wing, Austin Farley, returns from an upper body injury and that has allowed coach Scott Sandelin to go with a lineup that greatly resembles what UMD used to start the year.
St. Cloud State’s line chart can be seen here. Duluth native Judd Peterson, a sophomore, is centering the Huskies’ third line with the big 6-foot-7, 230-pound junior Ben Storm at left wing. Opposite Storm is a senior that’s a foot shorter and 65 pounds lighter, Jimmy Murray.
