Fourth-seeded Minnesota Duluth takes on top-seeded Providence at 3:30 p.m. CDT today in the first NCAA Northeast Regional semifinal at DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.
Today’s UMD-Providence game is being broadcast online only at watchespn.com. For those of you who don’t have the proper credentials to watch content on watchespn.com, there are viewing parties at Grandma’s, Tavern on the Hill, Sneakers, Dubh Linn and Green Mill. You can also follow me on Twitter at twitter.com/mattwellens for updates.
The Bulldogs’ line chart for tonight can be seen here. UMD has made one change after using the same lineup for three-straight weekends and it’s a biggie. Freshman wing Parker Mackay and senior wing Austyn Young have flipped spots. Take as much time as you need to process that change.
The Friars’ line chart can be seen here. Not sure if anyone has nicknamed the Friars’ second line yet of Brandon Tanev-Brian Pinho-Nick Saracino, but I’d call it the TPS Report line, because that’s how we roll in the NCHC.
